Our fifth field session was in Yosemite Meadow from 6:45am to 8:00am. It was not quite so cold as the morning before, but I still wore all my layers.
The ice along the sides of the falls formed overnight. By noon, it would all be gone.
This view was mesmerizing. As the water fell down the cliff, much of it froze. At the lower fall, the water that had turned to ice pellets sifted over the fall and piled up like sand in the bottom of an hour glass.
